To turn an Android device, such as a smartphone or tablet, into a teleprompter accessory, just use an app to display the script. An app is necessary because when the text is reflected on the teleprompter, it gets flipped. Teleprompter apps flip the text on your device’s screen, so that when it is reflected and flipped on the teleprompter, it will be in the right orientation. Many apps offer features such as remote scrolling and enlarging text.

Apps may offer the added value of scrolling the text using a connected remote control. That way, you can focus on your presentation while someone scrolls the text for you. This setup is suited for studio or field recording, where a script can be loaded quickly, and a crew can scroll the text for the presenter. Be sure to look for remote or auto scrolling features when you search for teleprompter apps.

Of course, you need a teleprompter, which mounts to your camera and has a dedicated space for mounting your Android device. See the photo below for an overview of the setup: The teleprompter has a tilted reflection surface so that the screen of your Android device can be seen right in front of the camera lens. The one-way reflection surface ensures that the camera lens will not see the screen, and can capture images as usual. The on-camera presenter can look into the lens and talk directly to the audience while seeing the script at the same time. InvisiPrompt offers a versatile teleprompter that be easily setup with your camera and Android products. InvisiPrompt can fit Android devices with screens up to 12 inches in diagonal measurement. Even Android phones with smaller screens of 4 to 5 inches can still be mounted and fitted to InvisiPrompt.
